I am 13, Dont you think petco should let me buy snakefood?

Yeah it seems ridiculous but pet stores aren't allowed to sell pets (or live animals for pet food) to minors because kids were buying pets and taking em home and their parents got ticked and complained to the pet stores. The parents probably tried to sue. So you can thank all those kids who went out and bought pets that their parents wouldnt let them have.
