What was wrong with my dog? ?

Last night, my dog was laying in my bed sleeping and he was fine. Suddenly he started whining and he was shaking. He couldn't walk so I carried him downstairs and I showed my mom. Then my dog tryed to walk but he ran into the door and then he stopped and he felled on the ground throwing up. he was whimpering then it was over. He was scared and he was feeling a lot better. I came home from school today and my mom said that he didn't eat or had any water all. We're going to take him to the vet tomorrow if he's not back to normal. I'm wondering what was happening to him? Could have been a seizure?
