What speakers can i use with samsung bd p1600?

Got a samsung BD - P1600 blu ray player which is 7.1 audio output, what speakers can i use to get a better sound. I already have 5.1 speakers from my old dvd player could i use them. If so how is the best way to connect. I also have a samsung tv don't know maybe best to attach speakers to TV instead.
