How do i get him back? please help !!?

This guy really liked me and for a while we sort of had a fling. He got really clingy and we just became friends. I thought he was over me because thats what he told his best friend. I asked him to the sadie's hopkins dance because my best friend was going with his best friend so he and i could go as friends because we were still close. It turns out he still liked me but i did not know so i danced with another boy who liked me. now he hates me because i broke his heart. while i had a fling with the other guy i could not get the first guy (kyle) off my mind. when things didnt work out with the new guy i apologized to kyle. he totally acted like he didnt care and is still ignoring me but his friend told me he doesnt hate me anymore because he'll always have that little crush on me. Is there any way I can get him back??? PLEASE HELPP ):
