In addiction to animals being endangered and/or extinct, it overrides the simplest law of nature. Tusk and horn hunting has caused the size of the bighorn sheep's horn to decrease 25%, according to a study. In addition, hunting does not just harm the animals who are shot. First of all, hunting kills animals that are strong and healthy, those needed to protect the colony. Secondly, the sound and noise creates fear for the animals around, causing them to be continual stressed, so that they don't conserve enough energy or eat enough to store a layer of fat for the winter months. Thirdly, the herbivore population will get out of hand by killing wolves and other predators. Fourthly, many animals that mate for life are left without their mate once one is killed; effectively stopping a breeding pair.
