I work at a school with little kids age 5- 9 yrs old. During recess the teacher on duty was?

going to let the kids go outside where the temperature with wind chill was 24 degrees! I got the teacher to have the kids play inside the school instead where it was nice and warm. My other 2 co-workers treated me like crap after that because THEY wanted to go outside. I need to know if I was right to keep the children in? These 2 women barely, if ever even say hello to the children and I feel only work at the school for the money and the money alone! I love kids and spend a lot of time with them on the playground and in the clroom as well. The kids yesterday were let outdoors when it was just as cold, and some of them were freezing and snuggling up close to me to keep warm! Do some of you think the other 2 ladies are just plain mean and self-serving, or am i being a little warped in my way of thinking right now? I feel a little upset about the way they talked about me today.
