P/S - Will I be laughed at for doing "womens" work?

My wife Annabel isn't feeling too great so I've been looking after her as best as I can and I've done all the housework and a little gardening, would I look silly doing hoovering and dusting? I've just done two loads of washing and hung it out the back to dry, my wife says she really appreciates it and I just said that I don't mind and that she should just rest, in fact I'm going to do more to help as it's actually quite relaxing doing it at your own pace, a friend of mine popped by for two minutes and was laughing at me saying my wife must wear the trousers as you'd never catch him doing "womens" work.
