What are the differnces between an llc and inc?

I own two businesses currently one is doing well and one is in neutral. Due to the laws changing I need to either create an LLC or Incorporate. I'm leaning toward Inc due to having two businesses currently and soon to have a third with a day care that we are opening. I may be looking at a few other business opportunities down the road. I guess I really haven't had it explained in terms I truly grasp.
